One Foot Out the Door…

Last night Cameo attended Silicon Valley Bank’s Open House in downtown Seattle.  We didn’t realize what we were walking into, but it was quite the who’s who of Seattle start ups, VCs, and angel investors!  John Cook was even there and blogging about it.

First, a little word about our involvement with SVB.  We’ve been working with SVB for several months now as our strategic banking partner.  It’s like having a VC and bank together in one.  The benefit is they carry a presence of a VC with multiple offices up and down the West Coast, but surround it with banking services.  We are not funded by SVB, but we are utilizing all of their banking services from regular checking to full merchant (ACH) account services.  Tip: if you are a Seattle start-up looking to establish presence in the Bay Area, using SVB as a strategic partner is a no-brainer.

Back to the party…with the wine and food flowing…the Open House, by default, became a sorta coming out party for Cameo.  We’ve held our concept pretty close to our chest for the last 3 months as we’ve been building the product; however, last night the intros were flying with the help of the SVB team.  And to our surprise, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive!  Everybody in the room was clamoring to begin using our service for their own personal needs.

Now, we just need to get it out the door.
